The Ontario Together Fund is providing additional funds to the region’s Small Business Centres to provide businesses with advisory assistance that they need in order to recover from the effects of COVID-19.
COVID-19 has challenged many businesses over the past year. Most businesses have had to pivot and adjust their everyday activities, which has put many small business owners into situations that they lack knowledge in which can make it uncomfortable for them as well.
A new Virtual Business Advisory service is now available through the Small Business Advisory Centre (Smiths Falls/ Lanark County/north Leeds Grenville). Local business owners can be matched with professional advisors who will provide FREE one-on-one specialized, confidential advice.(limit to 3 hours per business owner)
After their specific business needs are assessed, one-on-one virtual advisory sessions will be set up with a qualified advisor. A plan will be established between the business and the advisor, approval by Centre. The cost of the advisor’s services will be covered up to a specific amount. Afterwards business owners can choose to pay for additional services with the advisor outside of the Virtual Business Advisory Services offered by the Small Business Advisory Centre.

In addition to the Virtual Business Advisory Services, local businesses are encouraged to participate in the Centre’s ongoing series of webinars.
