Heather Church is a registered psychotherapist (RP) and board certified behaviour analyst (BCBA) with a private practice, Blue Heron Psychotherapy Services, located at the Perth Medical Clinic, across the road from the Great War Memorial Hospital, in Perth. She has a Masters degree in educational psychology and is currently finishing her Ph.D in health and rehabilitation sciences. Her research focuses on health equity and barriers to health among people who have Autism and their caregivers.
In her psychotherapy practice in Perth, Heather works with adults, teenagers and children. She serves people who have a variety of diagnoses, as well as people who do not have a diagnosis but are struggling with anxiety, depression or to achieve a sense of well-being. One of the areas her practice in Perth has focused on is helping people to navigate and cope with major life transitions, such as a diagnosis of life-altering conditions, dissolution of a relationship or the loss of a loved one. She also has specialized training in trauma and serving first responders and military personnel.
